Young actors have been taking their place on stage as part of a summer project.
Eighteen young people took part in Big Theatre 2012 at Bonsall Primary School, in Church Street.
Big Theatre team members Finn Shannon, Jo Shannon and Louise Maskill worked together for two weeks to create a production of “The Blue Dress”.
Set in 1923 in the aftermath of the Russian revolution, the play dealt with the lives of the members of a travelling theatre company, which was touring rural Russia on behalf of the Ministry of Agitation and Propaganda.
The youngsters acted out excerpts from the play, as well as scenes from their own lives.
The project was made possible as a result of funding from Derbyshire Community Foundation as well as the Derbyshire Dales District Council Community Fund and Derbyshire County Council, through Cllr Garry Purdy.
