A major road was closed as firefighters tackled a huge bin lorry fire in Chapel-en-le-Frith.
A diversion was put in place after the lorry caught fire on the A6 Chapel Bypass, near to the junction with Foresters Way, at around 11.30am this morning (Friday, March 17).
Eyewitness Luke Boulton, who took this video of the scene, said: “I work on the industrial estate and we just saw this great big black cloud appear.
“We have seen a few crashes there, but this was quite something. All the front cab was on fire.
“They have closed the road, but thankfully it appears no-one has been hurt.”
Firefighters from Buxton and Glossop attended the blaze.
The road was eventually reopened at around 2.30pm, a Derbyshire police spokesperson confirmed.
