Little monsters have been dressing up as creatures of the night as part of a Halloween celebration.

Youngsters dressed as vampires, witches, ghosts and ghouls came out in force for the Twistin’’’ Tots Halloween party.

The youngsters danced and bounced to a variety of Halloween songs, including Five Fat and Hairy Bats, Mary Had a Little Spider and There’s a Hole in my Cauldron.

The winner of the fancy dress competition was Joshua Simm, aged 18 months, who came dressed as a mummy.

Jacqui Davis, group leader, said: “It was great to see the children getting into the spirit of things for Halloween.”

Joshua won a toy car and all of the other children at the session received sweets.

Classes run in term time in Matlock from 10am to 11am on Tuesdays at All Saints Church Hall, in Smedley Street, Matlock.
