Drink driving arrest after Matlock car and bus crash

A man has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving following a collision between a bus and a car in Matlock yesterday (December 8).

The 40-year-old driver was arrested following a collision between his Ford Galaxy and a single-decker bus on Bakewell Road just before 4.30pm.

A police spokesman said: “The driver suffered a minor head injury and was street bailed so he could attend hospital for treatment.

“He will be spoken to at a later date.”

The bus driver and passengers were not injured.
