Geography pupils from a Matlock school visited the Lake District to research glaciation.

With a lack of erosional ice features in the Peak District, the Highfield sixth formers headed to Cumbria, which has some of the best in the country. They visited the Borrowdale Valley and Bowscales Tarn.

Students also studied other glacial landforms such as the Ribbon Lake at Derwent Waters and a hanging valley at Seatoller, Aira Force waterfall and the Bawder Stone.
