Children at Treetops nursery enjoyed their sports day this year - and their parents got stuck into the fun as well.

Deputy manager Sarah Knowles said: “It went really well, we had egg and spoon races, bean bag races and even a parents race. It was funny, it was really competitive, you could tell from their faces they were really trying.

“The children all had a great time as well, the weather stayed nice and the day was a big success.”

As well as the sports day the children also took part in a Toddle Waddle, which saw them walk around Hall Leys Park to raise money for charity.

Sarah said: “We went down in small groups to walk around the park and we raised more than £100 for Barnado’s, and money is still coming in. We’re really pleased.”

Then, on Friday, July 22 there was a graduation ceremony for all the children leaving the nursery to start school.
