An eagle-eyed reader took this alarming picture after a large coach became stuck at the bottom of a steep road in Rowsley Bar in the Peak District.

The front of the coach wedged itself into an on-coming road as it attempted to clear a T-junction on Sunday morning, May 21, and the front wheels were lifted off the road surface.

On-coming traffic had to avoid the front of the coach which was left protruding across a lane from the junction from a steep gradient into a narrow road.

It is suspected that the coach driver may have been following Sat Nav and had perhaps not anticipated the nature of the road layout given the size of the coach.
