IT’s the greenest greenhouse in town - as it’s made out of recycled bottles.
It was built out of recycled plastic bottles by pupils at Brassington Primary School as part of an innovative project in conjunction with the Derbyshire Wildlife Trust.
A spokeswoman for the school said: “The children had a lot of fun making it and they really enjoyed the project.”
Louise Valantine of Derbyshire Wildlife Trust said: “During the project we’ve helped schools create ponds, bog gardens, wildflower meadows, butterfly gardens, fruit orchards, vegetable plots and willow dens among many others.
“The children have been happy to come out in all weathers, including some bitterly cold winter days, and don’t seem to mind being caked in mud.”
The greenhouse was built as part of the Heritage Lottery-funded Grounds for a Change project.
