A 46-year-old mountain biker has died after falling 80 foot at Laddow Rocks, north of Crowden, on July 28.

Mountain rescue teams were called out to Black Hill, and spent more than six hours trying to rescue the cyclist.

Despite the team’s efforts the rider did not survive the fall.

Neale Pinkerton, of Kinder Mountain Rescue, said: “Unfortunately the rider did not survive the fall. Our thoughts and best wishes go out to his family and friends.”
