Young Farmer’s across Derbyshire bid farewell to their current chairman after a ‘fantastic’ year in office.

Ashover personality, Bob Dronfield, issued a heartfelt thank you to all his supporters and commented what a great year of events it had been.

Bob said: “It’s been the best year I could have asked for. “It’s been hard and difficult at times because, let’s face it, nothing’s perfect - but it was all very worthwhile.”

One of the final duties as chairman of Derbyshire Young Farmer’s was to attend this year’s AGM in Torquay to acknowledge that Derbyshire had come second in the Tug Wilson Trophy for winning the national tug-of-war competition.

TV personality and Young Farmer’s president, Matt Baker, presented the award.
