A Dales charity has received £500 towards a film it is producing.

The Arkwright Lodge and the Provincial Grand Lodge of Derbyshire Freemason have donated the money to Two Dales based First Taste.

The film is being shot across Derbyshire and will feature well known beauty spots, with former Blue Peter presenter Simon Groom undertaking appropriate readings of well known texts.

First Taste Chairman, Shirley Davison, said she was delighted to receive the £500 cheque from Alan Kay of the Arkwright Lodge.

She said: “The charity is very appreciative and grateful to have this demonstration of support from the Freemasons towards its work for one of the most overlooked and vulnerable sections of society.”
