The winner of the Hall Leys 100 design a logo competition came face to face with her floral creation this week – and she’s delighted with the way it looks.

Castle View primary school pupil Poppie Spencer’s design was chosen as the logo to celebrate 100 years of Hall Leys Park.

And Poppie was over the moon to see her design set out in flowers in the park.

Poppie said: “It looks great. I was really pleased to have won and it’s great to see it like this.”

Castle View headteacher Peter Hooper added that the whole school was proud of Poppie’s achievement.

He said: “Everyone at the school is delighted that she won and we’re really proud of her.

“Poppie’s really pleased with the way it came out, particularly the big floral design and we’re grateful for all the hard work people have put in to make the design happen.

“Poppie’s very proud of her design and it’s very nice for her to have her work on display for all the town and the tourists to see.”
