Matlock Air Cadet Andy Brough realised a dream last weekend when he went flying at RAF Cranwell in Lincolnshire.
Andy, who is a cadet with 140(Matlock) Squadron ATC, flew in a Grob Tutor training aircraft.
He had control of the plane under the watchful eyes of an RAF flying instructor.
Andy, 14, said: “It was absolutely fabulous. And the pilot let me steer the plane quite a lot.
“I’m looking forward to my next flight already”.
Matlock Air cadets regularly go flying in both powered aircraft and gliders.
They meet every Monday and Wednesday at Hurst Rise between 6.30pm and 9pm. For more information visit www.140matlockatc.co.uk
