A FOSTERING organisation is calling on Dales couples and families to think about becoming foster carers.
Team Fostering, which provides care for children and young people across Derbyshire, Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire, has organised an open day to provide information to anyone considering becoming a foster carer.
Experts from Team Fostering will be joined by current foster carers at Chesterfield Library on Wednesday, June 22, from 9.30am to 12.30pm.
Anyone who is interested and feels they could give a child or young person a caring, safe, secure and stable home environment is urged to attend the event.
Team Fostering director Rosy Holden said: “Fostering a child can be very demanding but it can also be extremely rewarding.
There are as many types of foster carer as there are children to care for, but a lot of people who would be excellent often shy away from applying because they think they may not be what we’re looking for.
