Friends swim in memory of Kate

Two friends are taking on a charity challenge in memory of a popular head teacher who died of leukaemia.
Julia Smith and Caroline Burnham, of Chesterfield, will be doing a ten-mile swim at Nuffield for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research and the Royal Hospital Haematology Trust Fund, in memory of Kate Griffin.

The mum-of-three, who was head teacher at All Saints’ C of E Infant School in Matlock died in April.

Julia and Caroline said: “Kate will live forever in our hearts and minds and Kate would have wanted us to continue in our challenge to raise funds.”
