A children’s charity is looking for people to get into their pyjamas and join them for a very special sleepwalk as part of Hall Leys 100.
The sleepwalk on Saturday, June 4, is part of Hall Leys Park’s centenary celebrations and is one of three special walks taking place across the UK on the same night.
The seven kilometre walk around Hall Leys Park and Matlock Bath will begin as the sun sets at 8.30pm.
Money raised from the event will go to the Children’s Trust, a national charity which provides care for children with multiple disabilities and complex health needs
Fundraising manager Joanne Brown said: “The walk is going to be quite a challenge but we hope to have a lot of fun too. The sun will be setting as we walk and Matlock and Matlock Bath have so much to see that I think it will be a wonderful event to be part of.”
The walk is open to all. Entry is £15 and includes a sleepwalk T-shirt, light refreshments and a finishing medal. To enter, visit www.thechildrenstrust.org.uk/walkmatlock, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 0115 932 6109.
