ONE Dales primary school is celebrating success after a recent Ofsted inspection.
Staff and pupils at Cromford Primary School are no doubt breathing a sigh of relief after being judged ‘good’ overall with the behaviour and safety of children being recognised as outstanding.
Head teacher Elizabeth Foster said: “Inspectors thoroughly scrutinise every aspect of school life, so it’s very satisfying to know we’re doing well and working hard to raise our high standards.
“It was recognised that we have well-behaved pupils, a good staff, and effective governors who all work hard together to make our school the best learning environment it can possibly be.”
The report found that teachers made lessons interesting, children with learning difficulties were well supported and that year six pupils made ‘outstanding’ progress in reading and maths.
