It was colourful costumes galore at a Matlock nursery as youngsters came to class dressed as super heroes, princes and princesses.

Nagle Nursery, behind St Josephs Catholic School, in Chesterfield Road, hosted the event to raise funds for charity.

Costumes included Disney princesses, pirates, Batman and Ben Ten.

The day raised £22.75 for charity Momentum which provides a wide range of support to people with brain injury or other neurological conditions.

Deputy manager Rebecca Heathcote said: “The day went very well.

“All the children dressed up in a variety of costumes.

“They made a lot of effort and really enjoyed it.”
