Children had a cracking time as Matlock All Saints Infants School raised hundreds of pounds towards a new playground with an Eggcellent Easter Eggstravaganza last Saturday.

Pupils enjoyed an Easter chick treasure hunt, an Easter bonnet parade and a vegetable animal competition.

Stuart Rudkin, chair of the school’s Parents and Friends Association, said: “Thank you to all the parents and staff who organised and helped out and the local businesses who supported the event with gifts and prizes.

“Their generosity enabled the PFA committee to provide a wonderful morning of crafts, games and fun for all the children to enjoy.”

The event raised more than £700 towards the school’s Build a Brighter Playground fund, providing a welcome boost after the cancellation of the Christmas fayre last year.
