Knife crime reduced

Knife-point robberies have fallen by more than 18 per cent in Derbyshire, according to the latest figures.

There were 110 crimes of this nature between October 2010 and September 2011 compared to 135 for the same period the previous year – a reduction of 18.5 per cent.

All robbery fell by 21.3 per cent from 836 incidents to 658.
