Large moorlands fire in Tintwistle

Six fire crews were called to tackle a moorland fire in Tintwistle on Easter Sunday.

Firefighters were mobilised to the incident on the Knarr, off the A628 Woodhead Road, at about 1pm.

The blaze was extinguished using water backpacks beaters, with the assistance of Peak Park rangers.

The Pennine helicopter also helped put out the fire, by water bombing the area.
