Large plots of land for sale

A huge development site, comprising more than 200 acres of land, is expected to attract bids from farmers and investors.

The land, located at Marehay, Denby Bottles, Denby Village and Denby Common, comprises 169.45 acres of grassland and 44.09 acres of woodland.

Chartered surveyors Mather Jamie is offering the site for sale as a whole or as nine separate lots.

Mark Brandon, of Mather Jamie, said: “We are finding that there is a lot of competition for sites of this type and size, and as there is not enough supply to meet demand, this presents a rare opportunity to purchase such a substantial site. In recent years the land has largely been used for grazing livestock, while the area of woodland offers future potential for harvesting timber or sports.

“While mainly agricultural land, there may also be some long-term potential for future development. This land is already attracting interest due to its size, location and potential, and our advice would be to invest now.”
