Assault

Carol Booth, 52, of Hoole Street, Hasland, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to assault. Pleaded guilty to damaging a Range Rover. Fined £120 and must pay a £30 victim surcharge and £85 costs and £400 compensation.

Wayne Stephen Eric Prescott, 25, of Common Lane, Pleasley Vale. Pleaded guilty to assault. Must pay £100 compensation and £200 costs. Found guilty of assault. Committed to prison for 16 weeks suspended for one year with a Rehabilitation Activity Requirement and 100 hours of unpaid work. Pleaded guilty to damaging a car window. Must pay £110 compensation.

Sam Pears, 23, of Tranmere Avenue, Clay Cross. Pleaded guilty to two counts of assault. Committed to prison for 12 weeks suspended for 12 months with a Rehabilitation Activity Requirement. Must pay £100 compensation and an £80 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Must also pay a further £250 compensation.

Patrick Francis Teelan, 24, of Hunloke Road, Holmewood, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to assault. Committed to prison for 18 weeks suspended for 18 months with a Rehabilitation Activity Requirement. Must pay an £80 victim surcharge and £250 costs.

Wayne Stuart Thackeray, 26, of Melling Close, Grangewood, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to assault. Committed to prison for 16 weeks suspended for 12 months with a Rehabilitation Activity Requirement. Must pay a £115 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Drugs

Samantha Louise Brierley, 27, of Lilac Grove, Broadmeadows, South Normanton. Indicated a guilty plea to being concerned in the production of cannabis, a controlled class B drug. Fined £120 and must pay a £20 victim surcharge and £42.50 costs. Admitted committing a further offence while subject to a conditional discharge for 12 months for possessing drugs. No action taken on the breach.

Wayne Bywater, 31, of Lilac Grove, South Normanton, Alfreton. Indicated a guilty plea to being concerned in the production of a quantity of cannabis, a controlled class B drug. Fined £240 and must pay a £24 victim surcharge and £42.50 costs.

Scott David Pizer, 40, of Longcroft Court, Grangewood, Chesterfield. Indicated a guilty plea to possessing 0.22grammes of cannabis, a controlled drug of class B. Discharged conditionally for 12 months. Must pay a £15 victim surcharge and £50 costs.

Mark Hill, 35, of Princess Street, Brimington, Chesterfield. Indicated a guilty plea to stealing a shaving kit valued at £9.99 belonging to B&M Bargains. Must pay £9.99 compensation and a £60 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Indicated a guilty plea to stealing meat and clothing. Must pay £113.45 compensation. Indicated a guilty plea to stealing headphones. Indicated a guilty plea to stealing assorted groceries valued at around £20 belonging to Midland Co-op. Community order to last until May 12, 2017, with a Rehabilitation Activity Requirement and 120 hours of unpaid work.

Charley Wright, 23, of Garden Crescent, South Normanton, Alfreton. Pleaded guilty to stealing toys. Fined £80 and must pay £54 compensation and £85 costs. Pleaded guilty to stealing meat. Fined £80 and must pay £40 compensation and a £20 victim surcharge.

Anthony Puxty, 43, of Leamoor Avenue, Somercotes, Alfreton. Pleaded guilty to stealing washing liquid valued at £49 belonging to Wilko’s. Fined £40 and must pay a £30 victim surcharge and £51 costs.

Craig Edward Smedley, 46, of New Street, South Normanton. Pleaded guilty to stealing four cans of K Cider valued at £6 belonging to One Stop Stores. Dealt with for the original offence which was subject to the community order of assault. Pleaded guilty to stealing two bottles of wine and cheese valued at £20 belonging to My Local. Community order to last until November 17, 2017, with a Building Better Relationships Programme and a Rehabilitation Activity Requirement and 80 hours of unpaid work.

Martin Ward, 35, of Albert Street, Leabrooks, Alfreton. Indicated a guilty plea to stealing power tools valued at £143.99 belonging to Gee Jays. Fined £50 and must pay £143.99 compensation. Must pay £85 costs. Indicated a guilty plea to stealing power tools valued at £218.99 belonging to Gee Jays. Community order to last until May 18, 2017, with a Thinking Skills Programme and a Rehabilitation Activity Requirement.

Craig Anthony Dixon, 29, of Thorntree Court, Chesterfield. Indicated a guilty plea to stealing two gift vouchers valued at £80. Indicated a guilty plea to stealing a gift voucher valued at £40. Committed to prison for 12 weeks suspended for two years with a Thinking Skills Programme and a Rehabilitation Activity Requirement. William Anthony Rowland, 21, of Welbeck Close, Somercotes, Alfreton. Pleaded guilty to using threatening behaviour. Fined £120 and must pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Shain Hawkins, 37, of Pennine Way, Loundsley Green, Chesterfield. Indicated a guilty plea to committing fraud by making a false representation after replacing bar codes on items at ASDA which he then scanned through a self-service till. Fined £120 and must pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Liam Jamie Lewis, 23, of Chantey Avenue, Newbold, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in public. No separate penalty. Fined £120 and must pay a £30 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Neil Spencer Cope, 41, of Cauldon Drive, Holme Hall, Chesterfield. Admits failing to comply with supervision requirements after release from imprisonment in that he committed a further offence. Fined £80.

Richard Taylor, 45, of Marine Drive, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to damaging a Range Rover. Fined £625 and must pay £399.29 compensation and a £62 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Pleaded guilty to damaging electric gates. No separate penalty.

Garrell Baldwin, 20, of Park Street, Alfreton. Indicated a guilty plea to having an offensive weapon. namely a knuckle duster, in public. Community order to last until May 17, 2017, with 120 hours of unpaid work. Must pay a £60 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Daniel John Shaw, 29, of Penncroft Lane, Danesmoor, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to damaging a window. No separate penalty. Restraining order to last until May 17, 2018. Must pay £200 compensation. Pleaded guilty to using threatening behaviour. Committed to prison for 12 weeks suspended for 12 months with a Rehabilitation Activity Requirement. Must pay a £115 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Graham Stubbs, 39, of Greave Way, Brimington, Chesterfield. Pleaded guilty to resisting a police constable. Fined £67 and must pay £100 compensation and a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Aaron Jay Thackray, 22, of New Street, Grassmoor, Chesterfield. Admitted failing to comply with a community requirement of a suspended sentence order by failing to report to a relevant officer or provide proof of absence within a specified time. Suspended sentence for possession of class A drug MDMA and for an assault varied to a prison term of 16 weeks suspended for 12 months with 120 hours of unpaid work.

Motoring

Tom Matthew Hawksley, 23, of Pool Close, Pinxton. Pleaded guilty to exceeding the alcohol drink-drive limit. Fined £540 and must pay a £54 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Disqualified from driving for 36 months. Pleaded guilty to being the driver of a vehicle owing to the presence of which an accident occurred whereby damage was caused to another vehicle and failed to stop. No separate penalty.
