Council chiefs have released a leaflet advising locals of plans for the day.
Derbyshire Dales District Council will be distributing ‘The Derbyshire Dales welcomes the Olympic Torch Relay.
The publication contains information such as the timings of the torch on its journey through the area.
There will also be information on the different celebrations in Matlock, Darley Dale, Bakewell and Ashbourne.
The leaflet will feature traffic information to help motorist prepare for the event.
Rolling road closures will be put in place across the area to cope with the high number of pedestrians expected for the town centres during the relay.
Several other roads will be closed from 11.30pm.

Spectators are advised to arrive early to avoid disappointment.
People are reminded to plan their journeys in advice and consider using public transport if necessary.
