STUNNING sculptures have popped up across the famous gardens of Chatsworth House, the home of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire.
The impressive monuments – captured beautifully by our photographer Terry Walden – make up the stately home’s annual sculpture exhibition, Beyond Limits.
A new work, called Legend, by Damien Hirst, is one of the key pieces at this year’s display, which opens on Friday and runs until October 30. Never before seen in public, the bronze painted, mythical winged horse was cast earlier this year and stands at more than 10ft high.
Twenty six sculptures star in the much-loved display, showcasing the works of homegrown and international artists including Lynn Chadwick, Rene Magritte and Yayoi Kusama.
The Duchess of Devonshire said: “It’s an absolutely amazing exhibition. Beyond Limits has become one of the highlights of the year at Chatsworth House.”
