A charitable organisation has awarded a worthy cause with a new piece of life–saving equipment.
Matlock Rotarians presented a defibrillator to the First Responder team of the Matlock Red Cross.
The money for the machine was raised through a vintage car rally held over summer in Ashover in partnership with the Rotary Clubs of Chesterfield, Scarsdale and Clay Cross.
Matlock Rotarians welcomed members of the First Responder team at a recent meeting at the Temple Hotel, Matlock Bath.
Alex Gadsby, community fund–raiser for the British Red Cross in Derbyshire said: “Our first responder team are in urgent need of three new defibrillators to support their lifesaving work in the county. Thanks to the fantastic support of Matlock Rotarians, we are now able to replace the team’s oldest defibs, giving them the most up–to–date equipment to help them save even more lives.”
