ALFRETON: Matlock animal rescue team called to collapsed cow

The specialist animal rescue crew from Matlock were called when a farmer reported that a cow had collapsed near a brook.

Crews from Alfreton and the RSPCA also attended at Chesterfield Road at around 3.30pm on Saturday afternoon.

The cow was eventually moved away from the water and towards dry land.

The police were also called to direct traffic away from the incident.
