ASHOVER: Police appeal after hit and run
Crime news
Police are appealing for witnesses to a man was seriously injured in a hit and run incident.
Between 5.30pm and 6.30pm on Wednesday, February 13, a 55-year-old Ashover man was walking along the side of the A632 road between Span Carr Farm and Span Carr crossroads when he was hit by a vehicle.
A Vauxhall Vivaro van overtook a line of traffic and collided with the pedestrian causing extensive injuries to his right side. He was treated in hospital for two days.
The van did not stop but the driver reported the collision later that evening.
Although the crash happened more than a week ago people may remember travelling on the road that day because the weather was extremely snowy. Anyone who witnessed the incident should contact PC Pete McVeigh on 101.
