DERBYSHIRE: Earthquake hits county

An earthquake has been felt across parts of the East Midlands including Derbyshire.

The earthquake measuring 2.9 magnitude, according to the British Geological Survey (BGS), hit in the Loughborough area at about 5.20am this morning (Friday).

The BGS said it was an average tremor for the UK.
