DERWENT VALLEY: Book for ramblers

A new book showcasing some of the most picturesque walks in the Derwent Valley is due to be released shortly.

Derbyshire Rambling – Walking in Cirles Down The Derwent Valley by Ashley Franklin will be released in April.

It features 19 brand new circular walks that have been devised by renowned walk recorder Mike Warner to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the opening up of the Derwent Valley Heritage Way.

Ashley commented: “This book’s playful title is intended to show this is more than just a walks guidebook.

“It’s light–hearted in tone, chock full of historical detail and full of musings on the subject of walking itself.”
