Flooding advice

In the wake of melting snow and heavy rainfall, Derbyshire Fire and Rescue received a large volume of calls from motorists stuck in flood water.

Between Friday, January 25 and Sunday, January 27, crews from across the county attended an abundance of flood related incidents.

Owing to this, a spokesperson for Derbyshire Fire and Rescue issued the following advice to drivers: “Keep your spped down, watch out for standing water on the road and do not try driving through flood water.”
