Gulliver’s 35th birthday

editorial image

Matlock Bath theme park Gulliver’s Kingdom will celebrate its 35th birthday this year with an action-packed season of new attractions.

The theme park – built in 1978 by Ray Phillips as a model village for his children – will kick off the 2013 season in the Easter school holidays.

Gulliver’s managing director Julie Dalton, daughter of founder Ray Phillips, puts Gulliver’s success down to family values, constant innovation and continual investment.

She said: “My dad created this park to build the dream for us as children and that’s what we’ve constantly tried to do.”
