Icy road crash

FIREFIGHTERS were called into action after a car lost control in icy conditions and crashed off the road.

Crews from Hathersage attended the incident on Tuesday, December 11 at 11.28pm to discover one vehicle had slid off Carr Road, Bamford, and crashed through a wall into a field.

The driver had managed to exit the vehicle by the time crews arrived and did not require any treatment.

Firefighters left the scene half an hour later.
