Joyful at new classroom

MATLOCK All Saints Infants have moved into their new five classroom block and computer suite.

Reception years one and two enjoyed their first day in their new surroundings yesterday.

School secretary Joan Hatch said: "They have been camping in the former junior classrooms since the juniors moved to their new pvacated them in the summer to move to new premises."

Phase one of the development of the school was then able to begin with the demolition of the infants terrapins.

This weeks move means the phase two work to refurbish the old building can start.

It is hoped the work to refurbish the school hall, to refurbish the kitchen and build a new office will be completed by the summer.

Phase three involves the building of a nursery.

Joan said: "The schools forward plan will help serve the Cawdor Quarry development."
