Take time out this half term to make a deluxe residence for your garden robins or wrens.

Derbyshire Wildlife Trust is organising a family event at the Whistlestop Centre, in Matlock Bath, on Friday, February 22, to celebrate National Nest Box Week. Visitors can build a nest box suitable for a robin or wren and then weave a thicket around it.

There are two sessions to choose from – 10am to noon or 1.30pm to 3.30pm. The cost is £10 per box, including £7 for materials and booking is essential as numbers are limited.
