Pensioner flown to hospital after fall

A 71–year-old woman had to be rescued after falling in the Peak District on Sunday.

Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance was called to the aid of the casualty, who injured her ankle while walking near Birchover.

Ambulance workers assessed her at the scene and then flew her to Chesterfield Royal Hospital.
