Person trapped

Fire crews attended a remote road when a person was reported trapped following a collision between two vehicles.

Crews from Matlock and Wirksworth fire stations were called to the B5056 at Longcliffe yesterday at 10.05am when a van and a four by four car collided.

The person was freed from the vehicle and given first aid by paramedics.

The fire crew left after 11.30am.
