Police are appealing for information after a flock of sheep was attacked by a loose dog.
In the early evening of Thursday, January 10, a farmer on Middleton Road, Wirksworth, was informed that his sheep had been attacked – whilst in a private field.
A passing rambler had initially reported the attacks to a nearby vets, who had then informed the farmer.
PCSO Sue Lester said: “If anyone has seen a loose dog running around the Middleton, Wirksworth or Cromford area please call 101 as sheep have been seriously injured. A red setter has been seen loose in the fields before and may be a stray.”
