Road closed after 97–year–old woman is involved in Matlock car crash

A 97–year–old woman was cut from a car following a road traffic collision involving three cars in Matlock.

Part of Chesterfield Road, between Asker Lane and Steep Turnpike, is still closed on both directions following the accident at 3.25pm today.

The woman, who was in a Honda CR–V, became wedged in the car by a Toyota Avenis and Kia Rio and had to be released by the fire service.
