Say no to cold callers

People are being urged not to buy from cold callers owing to the poor service, poor products and unclear information they provide, a new report advises.

Instead, people across the Dales are encouraged to use Derbyshire County Council’s Trusted Traded Register.

The register contains thousands of businesses – including 24 renewable energy and 60 double glazing firms – and each one promises not to cold call.

Cllr Kevin Parkinson said: “Our Trusted Trader scheme provides residents with a service they can rely on.”
