Thieves strike garage

Police are appealing for information after two crooks broke into Darley Dale Garage and stole equipment.

Just before 5.30pm on Saturday, December 29, police were called to reports of two ‘suspicious looking’ men leaving the garage on Dale Road North, Darley Dale.

Upon arrival, police found the main entrance had been forced by the intruders, as well as one internal door.

A stock check revealed that the thieves had stolen a red and black diagnostic tool.

A witness account said the men were dressed in dark clothing, one was wearing a baseball cap and the other was carrying a large suitcase. The pair headed on foot down the A6 in the direction of Rowsley.

Anyone with information is urged to call 101.
