The A57 Snake Pass has re-opened this morning after snow yesterday.

The road is open again both directions between Ladybower Reservoir and Glossop.

Trains

East Midlands trains are reporting normal service in the area.

Weather

Mainly cloudy with rain or sleet showers, but falling as snow above 200 metres over the Derbyshire hills at first with slight accumulations is possible. Although it will be bright at times, it will feel very cold because of strong northerly winds.

Tonight, wintry showers will continue near coasts. Inland areas will be mainly dry with clear spells. A cold frosty night is expected with brisk northerly winds.
