Trapped in car

A 59-year-old woman became trapped in her car after being involved in a collision outside the Grouse and Claret pub in Rowsley.

Firefighters from Matlock and Bakewell rushed to the incident, which occurred on Friday, January 25, just before 8am.

The woman was complaining of “severe back pain” when crews arrived and firefighters had to administer basic first aid while waiting for ambulances to arrive.

The scene was made safe by 8.34 am.
