A pedestrian has died following a collision with a car outside The Ladybower Inn on the A57 at Bamford.

At around 9.25pm on Wednesday, March 12 a 68-year-old man was in collision with a Honda estate car.

The pedestrian suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

The road was closed for several hours while police carried out investigations.

Derbyshire police are appealing for witnesses to contact the Collision Investigation Unit on 101 quoting incident number 736 12/03/14.
