A World War One Barlborough Heroes weekend with a remembrance service is being held to commemorate 100 years since the start of the conflict.

The two day festival, from 11am to 4pm, on August 2 and 3, will have many free activities. These include theatrical performances of After the Flags on both days from midday and a children’s short performance titled The Christmas Truce.

A cinema marquee will stream WW1 films and documentaries. Barlborough Heritage’s research will be presented in a marquee.
