Derbyshire County Council Strategic Director for Adult Care Joy Hollister said: “We were extremely saddened to hear of Ezra’s death and our thoughts go out to his family and friends at this very sad and difficult time.

“Ezra had only been with the Adult Care department since March but he had already proved to be a real asset to his colleagues and the clients he was working with.

“It was clear he was going to make an extremely good social worker and he will be missed greatly by all who knew and worked with him.”

Ezra’s manager at Derbyshire County Council Andy Green, said: “Ezra was both a respected colleague and a friend and he will be deeply missed and never forgotten by everyone who worked with him.
