A top Peak District hotel is celebrating not just one but two top hospitality accolades given by the AA and independent hotel marketing collection Classic British Hotels.

The Cavendish Hotel, in Baslow, has received an award of four stars by the AA for high standards of facilities and services.

On his recent visit to the hotel, AA inspector Salvatore Scotti was so impressed with his findings he awarded the hotel a fourth star firmly placing it amongst the best in the UK.

A top ten accreditation from Classic British Hotels came hot on the heels of the AA award. Classic British Hotels is a collection of over 70 luxury independent hotels in the UK, each having its own distinct style.

Philip Joseph, managing director at the Cavendish Hotel, said: “Credit must go to the staff for these two recent honours.

“We’ve undertaken considerable investment including refurbishing bedrooms, but it’s really down to the whole team’s warm welcome and ‘can do’ attitude that makes the difference, giving guests a really enjoyable stay.”
