Visitors enjoyed outdoor pursuits such as archery, t’ai chi and wool spinning at Edale Country Day recently, to raise funds for the village school and hall.
Originally a one-off organised by parents and teachers of Edale Church of England Primary School, the event became annual due to its popularity.
The day also featured a fell race, childrens’ games, a bouncy slide, a climbing wall, hobbyhorse races, falconry displays, sheep shearing demonstrations and a dog show.
Crowds tried their hands at traditional country crafts such as felting specific to the Edale area and dry stone walling. There were also stall selling home baked cakes and locally produced burgers and hotdogs.
