Matlock man killed at the weekend had just begun his career

Derbyshire Police have confirmed that a file is being prepared for the coroner following the tragic death of 22 year-old Ezra Hytch in a road collision at the weekend in Tansley.

Ezra, from Matlock, was hit by a car on the A615 Alfreton Road at 12.30am on Sunday.

Mum, Andrea Hytch, said her son had just started working for Derbyshire as a Social Worker in adult mental health after graduating from the University of Bath last year.

Meanwhile, tributes have been left on the Mercury’s Facebook page by readers.

Joanne M Walliss said: “Heartbreaking - thoughts go out to all the family.

Cheryl O’Brien said: “Having experienced the traffic in the Tansley area, it was always going to happen one day. My heart goes out to his family.”
