Matlock teen plans charity skydive

A plucky teenager plans to strap herself the top of an aeroplane to raise money for charity in honour of her grandfather.

Hannah Scott, of Matlock, is doing a wing walk on August 10 to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society and Leukaemia society.

On her Justgiving page, she states: “I have chosen these two charities because my grandad is in the final stages of Alzheimer’s and would like to do something for him and my cousin who I unfortunately never met passed away having battled with leukaemia, I would love to give something to both charities.”

The 18–year–old hit the headlines two years ago when she did a charity skydive to raising thousands of pounds for Mind and Save The Children.

She took the plunge in memory of her mother, Lynda, who tragically passed away after battling with depression for several years.

This time around, Hannah set herself a fundraising target of £300, which she has already smashed.

Her best friend, Katie Reade, supports her in her task.

She said: “She has raised way beyond her target of £300 and is now at over £1000.”
